NSG commandos hoist national flag at four new hubs

New Delhi, January 26: More than a thousand NSG commandos saluted the national flag after it was unfurled at their newly created anti-terror hubs in four Indian cities on Republic Day today.

The commandos of the National Security Guard deployed at the hubs in Mumbai, Chennai, Hyderabad and Kolkata celebrated the day with force commanders of the anti-terror and anti-hijack units hoisting the tricolour.

Dressed in black overalls, the commandos also reiterated their pledge to provide ‘Sarvatra Sarvottam Suraksha’ (everywhere best security).

The hubs have a strength of 241 commandos each, along with some other men for logistic duties.

The hubs were inaugurated by Union Home Minister P Chidambaram last year in the aftermath of the 26/11 Mumbai attacks to facilitate a quick deployment of the elite crack force in case of a terror attack or hijack attempt
