NEW DELHI: A 22-yr-old NRI woman has been allegedly raped in central Delhi’s Nabi Karim area by a man hailing from Haryana has been arrested said the Police.
The 22-yr-old victim came to India on study visa from the US. On her arrival to India, she befriended three men who invited her to a party at the Hotel on Wednesday.
According to the victim, she was raped by this man while the other two men were out for buying something.
Police have registered a case against the suspect, arrested him yesterday and produced him before the Delhi Court, which sentenced him 14 days judicial custody.
CCTV footage’s and the log book of the hotel has been seized by the Police. The victim gave recorded her official statement before the Magistrate today said Police officials, as reported in The Indian Express.
