Jeddah: Siraj Wahab, a well-known Indian expatriate working in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has felt the pain the CAA, NRC and NPR have inflicted upon his compatriots and penned a poem.

“Though I am away from the country for a long time my connection with it has grown stronger with time. When I see and hear the voices of pain that the new laws have inflicted upon my countrymen my heart begins to churn. The poem is the result of that deep anguish and injustice which I share with my fellow countrymen,” he told Siasat.com on phone.

On his poem going viral, he said, “I am happy that the people have liked it.  In fact, it is their voice which I have tried to translate to the common man.”
