Suspecting her fidelity, a man murdered his wife by strangulating her to death using a saree at their residence in Fatima Nagar of Falaknuma.
According to Falaknuma police, the deceased, 35-year-old Haji Begum was married with one Md Moin about 14 years ago. The couple was blessed with three children. About five years ago Moin went to Riyadh in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for employment. He returned to Hyderabad on October 7.
Moin and Haji Begum allegedly had a heated argument on the intervening night of Thursday and Friday when the former suspected her fidelity. At around 2 AM, both went inside the bed room and bolted the door from inside. At around 4 AM, their son Mubeen knocked the door, but got no response. He got suspicious and immediately informed the relatives.
Police registered a case of murder under Section 302 IPC and started investigations. (INN)
