New Delhi: Delhi Metro commuters can now get their smart cards recharged through mobile-based application Paytm.
According to DMRC, the Corporation has entered into an agreement with the mobile application which will enable the commuters to recharge their cards by using Paytm e-wallets.
“The new facility will be of great convenience to the commuters since this will allow them to recharge their smart cards through their mobile phones.
“The transactions will be completely safe and the card or net banking details will be saved only once by App. Recharge through this facility will be fast and convenient,” a statement issued by the Delhi Metro Corporation said.
The commuters also have an option of getting their cards recharged through the Paytm App via the website www.Dmrcsmartcard.Com.
“However, after the recharge, the commuters will have to validate the recharge by tapping their cards at the Automatic Vending Machines (AVMs) which are available at all metro stations,” it said.
The facility was launched in the presence of DMRC Managing Director Mangu Singh and Paytm CEO Vijay Shekhar Sharma.
