Blind tourists can now read the history of the Taj Mahal in the complex. The Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) has provided a notice board in Braille script for their convenience.
Agra District Magistrate ManishaTrighatia unveiled the notice board, which some visually handicapped students and their teachers read — and expressed satisfaction.
N.K. Pathak, the superintending archaeologist of ASI’s Agra circle, said the facility would be a great relief to the sightless who had earlier to be told the history orally.
The board has been developed by Arushi, an NGO from Bhopal. It is both in Hindi and English.
