Hyderabad, February 04: After deciding to provide laptops along with printers and fax machines to all the MLAs, Assembly deputy speaker Nadendla Manohar has now decided to issue new Radio Frequency Identity cards (RFID) to the members on par with the system being implemented in the Parliament.
He also plans to hold a one-day seminar on ‘Understanding of the budget’ to the MLAs during the forthcoming budget session likely to begin on February 17.
The Business Advisory Committee (BAC) would decide the date and time of the seminar.
According to the deputy speaker, RFID cards would be issued to the members before the budget session.
Radio frequency monitors comprising members’ data base, takes the signal once the MLA enters the Assembly premises.
Water marks with the Assembly building as its background and a hologram would be present on the cards ensuring that no duplicate copy of it could be taken.
Under second phase, the same chip would come in the form of car stickers to be given to the MLAs.
A decision is yet to be taken about the number of stickers to be issued to each MLA.
