In the past too, Siva Prasad to protest against the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh whipped himself outside the Parliament Complex.
Speaking to media later, the Chittoor MP said that the Centre should not waste more time and should fulfill its promise of special status to AP. He said that Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu was taking the state on the path of development but SCS was necessary to solve various issues and to compensate the loss that AP had during the bifurcation of state. He said that the people of the state were questioning the people’s representatives on the Centre’s denying the SCS to state and said that the special status was people’s demand. (INN)
