Hyderabad: Sleuths of Commissioner’s Task Force today apprehended a notorious cat burglar Gannoji Shivakumar Chary alias Chinna alias Shiva, who was wanted in a house burglary case under Amberpet PS limits and recovered four grams of gold Mangalasutra, a Bajaj Pulsar 220 CC and cash of Rs 2000.
Police said the accused, aged 23, residing at Durganagar in Amberpet and a native of Julapally village under Amangal Mandal of Mahbubnagar district committed house burglary in the early hours of Friday. The accused sneaked into one Lakavath Sharada’s house and committed theft of two gold Mangala sutras (wt 4gm) which were kept on the TV stand. He also stole Rs 800 from the second floor of the same House and sped.
Following a complaint, a case was registered in the Amberpet police station and investigation led to his arrest. Police said previously the accused was involved in many theft cases in Amberpet, Kachiguda, Uppal, Chaitanyapuri, Saroornagar, Meerpet, Nacharam and Balanagar under Cyberabad police limits since 2012. He was detained under PD Act in 2016 and released in August this year from Chanchalguda Jail.
The police said the modus operand of the accused was in early hours, he enters into the house when the inmates were busy in other works. Mostly he chooses bachelor’s houses and steals a money purses, cell phones from the pants and shirts. After release from Jail, he resumed house burglary offenses. He was handed over to SHO Amberpet along with recovered property for taking necessary action. (NSS)
