Notorious chain snatchers arrested, 17.50 lakhs property recovered

On June 24, 2014 on receipt of the credible information about the movements of notorious criminals viz. Mohammed Imran and his own brother Mohammed Amer (22) under suspicious circumstances near his residence Asif Residency, Towlichowki, Hyderabad, the Special Police Team headed by DI, Chikkadpally Sri. P. Balavanthaiah, conducted a raid on their hideout at 7 Tombs, Golkonda and the criminals noticed the movements of the Police and to evade the imminent arrest, Mohammed Imran jumped from the 4th floor of Asif Residency, while his elder brother Mohammed Amer managed to escape from the hide out. Mohammed Imran suffered fractured injuries and admitted in NIMS Hospital and undergoing treatment, while his elder brother Md. Amer went absconding, following the Police raid on his hideout.
The brothers duo were suspected and wanted in several chain snatching and vehicle lifting cases of Hyderabad City and number of Non-Bailable Warrants are pending against them
2 Special Police Teams were formed to nab the escaped Criminal Md. Amer and sustained and strenuous efforts were made to locate him. Raids were conducted at all possible hideouts and available leads were worked out. With the consistent and determined efforts of the Special Team and on credible information, the absconding notorious criminal Md. Amer was finally located in King Koti area and he was intercepted and taken into custody along with a stolen Two Wheeler Hero Honda Karizma Black.

During the interrogation it is revealed that he is in the habit of changing the hideouts/shelters every 2-3 months, to evade Police and used to take lot of precautions and never shows his house to any of his friends or associates. Earlier, he stayed at the following places Fatima Nagar, Hyderabad and Papaiah Basti, Old Malakpet, Hyderabad and his other hideouts are being identified. During the interrogation, he voluntarily confessed to have committed the following offences along with his younger brother in the limits of Hyderabad City and seized accused Mohd. Amer, one two wheeler Hero Honda Karizma ZMR), gold chain weighing about 4½ and also recovered 20 ½ tulas gold ornaments and (5) two wheelers at the instance of the accused from his residence.
On further interrogation he confessed that, he has concealed the other case properties with his accomplice Syed Jaffar Hussain @ Jaffar @ Hussain (32) of Old Malakpet, Hyderabad (receiver of the stolen property) and accordingly a trap was laid for him, who was summoned to receive stolen property and nabbed by Police Team.
In pursuance of the confessional statements of Md. Amer@Amir @ Prince and the receiver of Stolen property, namely Syed Jaffar Hussain, stolen property weighing 51 Tolas gold and 6 Two wheelers, all worth Rs. 17,50,000 has been recovered.
The main accused Mohammed Amer and Md. Imran are the own brothers, hails from Tolichowki area. Due to negligence and lack of parental care, Amer fell into bad company at a very young age of 8-years and got addicted to smoking and at the age of 10 years, he became addicted to alcohol and ganja. During the year 2011, when he was sent to jail for the first time in a snatching case, he was addicted to whitener and there after he went to Goa along with one of his jail mate and became a womanizer. In order to meet his vices and lavish life style, he became a hardcore property offender.
They will commit thefts of modern two wheelers like Yamaha F-Z, Kharizma, Pulsur from the Parking places with the help of duplicate keys and uses these two wheelers to commit chain snatchings from lonely women pedestrians, walking in isolated areas and speeds away.
They will dispose the stolen property through Syed Jaffer of Old City, who is a habitual receiver of stolen property and spending the money very lavishly.
About 8-NBWs pertains to the property offences of Amberpet P.S. and Saidabad PSs. of Hyderabad City and Medipally, Shivarampaly and Saroor Nagar P.Ss. of Cyberabad are pending against A1 Mohammed Amer and he is also facing trial.
Some more stolen property has to be recovered in these case from the brother of the accused who is undergoing treatment..
The police team led by the Detective Inspector Cjikkadpally P. Balavanthaiah and N LN Raju, Inspector and his team were able to arrest the accused in suspicious circumstances under the supervision of T.
