Hyderabad, February 16: The Election Commission of India today released the notification for the biennial elections to the State Legislative Council in three graduates’ constituencies and three teachers’ constituencies covering 12 districts in the State.
The last day for filing nominations is February 22. Polling will be held on March 13. Four nominations for graduates constituencies and two for teachers constituencies were filed on the first day for filing of nominations today.
Speaking to mediapersons, Chief Electoral Officer Bhanwarlal said since the poll schedule was announced on February 8, one complaint was registered against Primary Education Minister S Sailajanath for violation of the model code of conduct.
