Notices to illegal occupants of Wakf properties

Hyderabad, November 02: As part of the ongoing drive of A.P. State Wakf Board to evacuate illegal possessions on Wakf Properties, it issued eviction notices to illegal occupants of chout Uppal area belonging to Masjid Almaas.

These notices will be executed through Revenue Divisional Officer. Mr. Syed Mohammed Ahmedullah, while addressing a press conference along with the chairman of Wakf Board Moulana Syed Ghulam Afzal Biyabani said that this valuable property has been cordoned after surveying its area. It was revealed that there are 2112 illegal occupants on Wakf Land. This area is situated in D. Nagaram village near Ramoji Film City.

The minister contacted the R.D.O. during the press conference and instructed him to serve the notices and implement the action. He told that this property is registered in Wakf register and its value is about one thousand crore rupees.

The minister also told that if these illegal occupants contact Wakf Board their cases could be considered to register them as the tenants after recovering the rent for the past period.

The applauded the efforts of the members of Wakf Board that within 45 days action was initiated to acquire the properties illegally occupied by the occupants. He also informed that Govt. has acquired six acres land for the construction of National High Way No. 9. Its compensation amounting to Rs. 89, 59, 346 is deposited with R.D.O. which will be released to Wakf Board soon. He contacted Collector Nalgonda and directed him to release the amount.
