Notice issued to 5000 crore Windor Hotel land by Karnataka Wakf board

The loot of Wakf properties all over India by both Mutawalies and Muslim politicians who are entrusted to safe guard the properties are in fact looting the same .The Karnataka State Board of Wakf has asked ITC Windsor Hotel in Bangalore to vacate the property by the end of this month, after mediation talks between the board, which owns the land.

This land which is worth around 5000 crores was leased out to ITC for a paltry sum of RS 500 initially .

Nusrath M Begum, additional CEO of the state Wakf board, in an order passed on July 16. Begum is a competent officer under the Karnataka Public Premises.

“The matter being sub-judice, we are unable to comment on the same,” an ITC spokeswoman . The Wakf board claimed that the final order has been delivered and they are waiting to hear from ITC, which has the option to seek a stay on the order.

As per the notice, the property belongs to Aga Ali Asker Wakf Estate. The dispute was mainly over low rent – which was Rs 5,500 at first and was revised to Rs 6 lakh for 1,65,000 sq ft of prime real estate – and serving of items like liquor and pork at the premises, which is not permissible under Islamic laws.

The Wakf board has also asked ITC to remit all the rent arrears for the lease period ending 2003.
