Notice is Conspiracy: Ponnala

Telangana Minister P Lakshmaiah today alleged that Seemandhra leaders are conspiring against the bill through a resolution. Interacting with media persons at Assembly lobbies he said that no conspiracy can defer Telangana state. Telangana movement has long history of six decades of movement and sacrifices and so the Center is giving statehood he said. TD MLC N Rajakumari who joined him denied that they are conspiring against T state.
When he found fault with the leader of the house for giving a notice to Speaker N Manohar for returning the bill back to the bill, she said that Kiran Reddy being the Chief Minister can do so. Later interacting with media persons he accused the Chief Minister of belittling the constitution by rejecting the bill sent by President Pranab Mukherjee. It is also totally undemocratic to prevent the bill and bifurcation process, he observed.
Reacting on the same issue CPI deputy floor leader K Sambasiva Rao said that CM can’t give notice against the bill. If he wanted to do so, Kiran Reddy should do it well in advance by 10 days. TRS deputy leader Harish Rao said that Kiran Reddy cannot prevent the statehood by giving notice against the bill is an insult to the Constitution, he observed. He also stated that Speaker cannot consider the notice as it is against the legislature norms. (NSS)
