Nothing can stop construction of Ram temple: UP Minister

Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Minister of Irrigation Dharampal Singh on Friday said no power can stop a grand Ram temple from being constructed in Ayodhya and that no new law is required to be enacted for the temple.

Addressing his supporters and others in Shahjahanpur, the Minister also castigated some sections of the society for questioning the seriousness of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) towards construction of the Ram temple — an issue they allege the BJP is using for electoral gains.

The senior Cabinet Minister, who holds the charge of Gorakhpur — the place Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath comes from — went on to say: “It is strange that when we take the name of Ram, we are accused of using his name to garner votes, and if we do not, we are charged with forgetting Ram after coming to power.”

He also expressed hope that the agenda of development moved forward by Prime Minister Narendra Modi will win him a second term in 2019.

“In the government of Yogi Adityanath, everyone will get justice but there will be no appeasement of any religion or community,” he said.
