Land plots and houses bought and notarized will be regularized at a nominal registration fee. Govt will issue orders very soon. Minister of Labour, Mr.D.Nagender told it while responding to the questions raised by the people’s representative in the District Review Committee meeting held yesterday. He told that C.M has taken this matter seriously and promised to issue orders very soon.
Earlier, expressing his views on the matters pertaining to revenue department, B.J.P MLA Mr.G.Kishan Reddy pointed out that a piece of land admeasuring 8,000 sq yards was allotted for girls school but the land grabbers are occupying this land, although Govt has released Rs time crore for the construction of school building. Revenue officials couldn’t protect this land.
Replying to this question, Mr. Syed Ali Murtuza Rizvi Collector of Hyderabad told that since the matter is in the court, no decision has been taken in this regard. Mr. Kishan Reddy alleged that Batkamma kurta is in his constituency. Some anti-social elements are damaging it. He further told that this tank is of historical importance for Telangana area. It should, therefore, be protected.
Jubilee Hills MLA, Mr.P.vishnuvardhan Reddy alleged that M/S Suresh productions were allotted five acres of land for the development of Telugu film industry in 1984 but it has been given on lease to a building developer. In addition to this, M/S Annapura Studios have given a piece of land admeasuring 22 acres on lease to M/S Zee films though they were allotted only 7 acres of land by the Govt. He also complained about the illegal possessions on the 12 acre land of Janikiamma Tower and sports complex Borabanda.
City MLA’s refused to accept the new regulations regarding engineering college fees reimbursement scheme. A decision was taken in the meeting to exert pressure on the Govt to restore the old arrangement. In this connection, city MLA’s will represent the matter to C.M under the leadership of Dr.Geetha Reddy who is incharge of Hyderabad city. A demand would be put forth to the Govt to issue instructions to 84 engineering colleges not to harass the students for payment of fees till the matter is finally resolved.
B.J.P MLA Mr.Kishen Redddy told the fees of the engineering students belonging to Backward classes and Minority Communities should also be paid by the Govt on par with the S.C and S.T students. It was resolved that MLA’s would make a representation to C.M fo this issue also.
Discussions were also held on the functioning of the Dept of Civil Supplies. MLA’s complained about the irregularities in the supply of ration through fair price shops. Non –issue of white ration cards and other problems. Later it was decided that MLA’s will hold a separate meeting with the Minister of Civil Supplies,Mr.D.Sreedhar Bababu.
Issues pertaining to Hyderabad city were also discussed but many public representatives didn’t attend the meeting yesterday.
M.P of Hyderabad didn’t attend the meeting. M.P of Secunderabad, Mr.Anjan Kumar Yadav attended the meeting only for 20 minutes. This meeting was convened after a gap of eight months. Out of 16 MLA’s, only five attended the meeting.
