Chennai, March 24: Tamil actress Yuvarani, whose name has been dragged into the Swami Nithyananda scandal, has denied any involvement with the godman.
On Tuesday, she met City Commissioner of Police T Rajendran and submitted a complaint alleging that a website had associated her name with the swami. She said the website had used an old photograph of hers and demanded that the police take steps to have it removed.
Later, talking to presspersons, the actress said her name had been wrongly linked with the swami. She came to know of the visuals through a relative, who had seen them on the Net. “The police commissioner has promised to take action,” she added.
Yuvarani said she would consult her husband and meet the media soon to clarify her position.
The actress starred in Badshah as Rajinikanth’s sister and Pasumpon.
She also acted in television serials like Chitti.
