Hyderabad: Congress MLC T. Jeevan Reddy on Friday alleged that not a single drop of water was brought into use from the Kaleswaram lift irrigation project so far. He also alleged that although there was water available to send it to the upstream areas, the water was being released into the sea. He said 45 tmc of water was wasted by the “callous” attitude of the State government.
Jeevan Reddy alleged that there were no figures at the State government about the availability of water and how to use it. He claimed that the officials of the project say they were not able to take any decision due to lack of orders from the government. He ridiculed the ruling party leaders for blaming the Kaleswaram project for the acute shortage of urea in the State.
