Not afraid of CBI probe

Vizianagaram, November 15: TDP chief N. Chandrababu Naidu has said that he was not afraid of CBI probe as he had done no wrong.

Naidu, who came here to tour the district, held consultations with his senior colleague Ashok Gajapati Raju before responding to the High Court direction to the CBI to probe his assets.

Talking to the media, he said he was in fact welcoming the High Court direction. He has alleged that those who were unable to face him politically were making allegations against him and filed the petition. He has however expressed the opinion that it was not proper on the part of the High Court to order CBI probe without first serving him a notice. He said he would consult his lawyers on this matter.

Naidu has said that he has already announced details of not only his assets, but also those of his family members. He reminded that several petitions were filed against him earlier also and nothing could be proved through them. He exuded confidence that he would come out clean in the investigation. He said it was not proper to order probe without first serving him notice. He said he would discuss with his lawyers about the matter and then talk in detail to the media. He has dismissed the allegation that he owned a hotel in Singapore.
