New Delhi, Sept.28 : Norway’s Ambassador-Designate Nils Ragnar Kamsvag today presented his credentials to President Pranab Mukherjee.
Mr.Kamsvag is now officially Norway’s Ambassador to India.
“I want to first say thanks for the warm welcome my wife and I received at our new home here in Delhi. India, with its rich culture and incredible diversity has a lot to offer, and we both look forward to absorbing India as we gear up to spend the next few years in this country,” he said.
“I feel privileged that the Norway-India cooperation is already extensive on many fronts. The forthcoming visit of Norwegian Foreign Minister, Mr. Børge Brende, who, will reopen the Norwegian Consulate General in Mumbai, is just one indication of the increased cooperation between our two countries,” he added.
“Norway sees a great scope for continued strengthening of cooperation in the commercial, political, research, cultural and scientific areas. I will strive to strengthen and deepen these areas together with my colleagues at the Embassy, and through the Team Norway in India,” Ambassador Kamsvag said. (ANI)
