Non-performing Babu’s above 50 years of age on Yogi Govt.’s radar

Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh government led by Yogi Adityanath is mulling over “compulsory retirement” for employees aged 50 years and above if they are found neglecting their duty. The order will affect around 16 lakh employees working with the state government. Complete screening of all the employees above 50 years of age for compulsory retirement will be done by July 31 and a detailed report of their work and performance will be submitted.

According to a government order issued by Additional Chief Secretary Mukul Singhal, for considering 50 years of age, the cutoff date will be March 31, 2018.

However, the employees are not happy with the order. President of the UP Secretariat Employees’ Association, Yadavendra Mishra said that such attempts were aimed at harassing government servants.
