Non-Muslims throng to get copies of Quran at Salam Centre Pavilion

Salaam Centre set up its pavilion “Quran for All” on 1200 sq. feet at the International Book Fair that was held from 15th to 23rd February 2014. Nearly 70 thousand copies of Hindi and English translations of Quran, books on Seerat-e-Nabi, books allaying misconceptions of Islam and DVDs on revelation of Quran were gifted to thousands of visitors. A vast majority of the visitors were youth.

Stated below are the views of some of the non-Muslims who were streaming in the Salam Centre Pavilion aspiring to know more about Islam
• Why Muslims kept the Quran hidden from us? This is the thing which should have reached us years before. However we thank Salam centre for conveying this to us.
• When anything happens anywhere it is linked with Islam and Muslims. I would ask my Muslim friends to provide me a copy of Quran I want to see what is written in it. My Muslim friends would say ‘you can’t even touch the Quran let alone read it.’ When I saw at Salam Centre that Quran is for all I was surprised and was very happy too.
• I am a doctor and reside in Rajasthan I like Islam because Islam forbids idol worship. Idol neither sees, nor walks.
• I am reading Hindi translation and live among Muslims but I see that Muslims are involved in worshiping graves, taveez and ganda. Quran rebuffs all these. It shows direct contact with Allah.
• I live near a Muslim locality. I generally see that Muslims conduct meetings and conferences for themselves. They don’t reach out non-Muslims.
• If introduction of Islam and Prophet Mohammed (pbuh) was done on large scale, situation would not have been like this. Anti-Islam elements wouldn’t have got the opportunity to spread venom against Islam.
• Till date we have listened against Islam free of cost through media. By giving free books against the wrong propaganda you are combating with the falsehood.
• I read in news Quran is burnt or torn somewhere. I wanted to see what is in it.
• You would like to know why I took Quran and seerat book. It is just because of the love for Islam. I hope I understand Islam.
• I am 35 years old and work in Hindustan Times. I am very happy to get Quran I will read it. I am getting an opportunity to understand such a great religion.
• I am a doctor I hope that I will get answers to many of my questions. It will help in verifying the facts presented by news channels.
• When I read Quran I found that Quran is a sacred book it talks about brotherhood and many good things. Such books should be present in every house.
• We know that conspiracies are hatched against Islam. Such lies have no connection with Islam. They are politically motivated.
• I am a professor of Astro Physics. Western forces are attacking Islam making some wayward Muslim youth as their tool.
• Media is poisoning the minds of young generation. Quran and books on character building, manners and communal harmony should be published for children.
