hyderabad, september, 11: Our correspondent met a man of extraordinary talent, Anil Kumar Chauhan, aged 45 years. He is an artist by occupation. Despite being a non Muslim he inscribes Quranic Ayahs in Arabic language. His calligraphy is quite aesthetic. Anil Kumar Chauhan has inscribed Quranic Ayahs on nearly 90 pulpits (minbars) of the mosques so far. He does so without taking any remuneration in return. If anyone gives anything as reward he accepts it but he never asks for. His mother tongue is Marathi but he can read and write Urdu also. He regularly reads religious page published in Siasat daily. He has got the privilege of inscribing Surah Yasin at great darsgah such as Jamia Nizamia.
There is a mosque at Chelapura. The area is predominantly inhabited by non Muslim brethren. There is a board installed outside the mosque on which ayahs of the Holy Quran and Ahadeeth are written. Since the area is predominantly inhabited by non Muslim brethren who cannot read ayahs and ahadeeth if written in Arabic, the mosque authorities decided to write Quranic ayas and ahadeeth in Hindi language so that the message could be reached to non Muslim brethren. To write the Quranic ayahs and hadith in Hindi language, services of Anil Kumar have been called for. Now Anil Kumar Chauhan writes Ayas and ahadeeth in Hindi in a beautiful style every week.
The Quranic ayahs which Anil Kumar writes, God knows, when the same may enter into his heart and he may receive the light of guidance. He also recites naat-e-shareef. He has also presented naat on the occasion of Miladunnabi on 12th Rabbiul Awwal.
