Delay in split of minority institutions in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh following the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh state hassles the implementation of various welfare schemes. The new state of Telangana was formed on June 2 but distribution of minority institutions is not complete so far. As a result implementation of minority schemes has virtually come to a standstill for the past 5 months.
Minority welfare budget is frozen due to bifurcation, as a result minority institutions are unable to release the sanctioned amount in connection with various schemes. Implementation of bank-linked subsidy scheme of minority Finance Corporation has been stalled for not getting permission to use the budget. It has also affected scholarship and fee reimbursement scheme.
