Noida, December 20: In a ‘spirited’ protest against their husbands’ drinking habits, women folk in a village here allegedly burnt down a liquor shop.
But, police sought to play down the incident saying anti-social elements were behind the torching of shop at Saini Sunpura village.
Police said women had not lodged any complaint before them or city administration about liquor shops, which were given licence as per norms.
