Noida, April 14: To prevent recurrence of incidents like self-confinement of the Noida sisters, who locked themselves inside their house for over seven months, several NGOs today decided to form a committee to identify persons living alone in the area and offer emotional support to them.
Dr Mahesh Sharma, the Chairman of Kailash Hospital and a patron of Noida Lok Manch suggested that a core committee and block level committees be formed in the area to check no such incidents happen in future.
After identification of persons living lonely in the area, block level committee members will keep in touch with them and provide emotional support.
The NGOs, which participated at the meet in Kailash Hospital auditorium, included the Federation of Noida Residents Welfare Association, Noida Entrepreneur Association, Lioness Club, Rotary Club, Lok Manch, Bharat Vikas Parishad, Indian Medical Association, Sanatan Dharam Mandir trust.
