Hyderabad, September 28 (Siasat News): Chief Minister K Rosaiah has agreed to speed up ongoing work of the land acquisition process and other related affairs for new railway lines in the state.
Rosaiah ordered constitution of a nodal agency in the state government comprising Principal Secretary Transport S P Singh and Principal Secretary Revenue Anil C Punita to co-ordinate all issues with the Railways.
The nodal agency constituted by the state government will co-ordinate with the south central railway on new railway lines, doubling of existing lines and construction of rail-over-bridges and rail-under-bridges
The Chief Minister held a meeting today in the state Secretariat with Minister of State for Railways K H Muniappa, South Central Railway General Manager M S Jayanth and other top officials and reviewed all pending issues related to Railways.
Rosaiah handed over a cheque for Rs 22.9 crore on behalf of State government to Minister of State for Railways Muniappa towards new rail tracks. Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation Commissioner Sameer Sharma was also present.
