Nod for filling 107 vacant JNTU colleges faculty posts

Hyderabad, January 17: The state government has granted the go ahead to filling up of the 107 vacant posts of the faculty in the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University colleges in Kakinada and Vizianagaram.

Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy on Sunday gave the permission for filling up of the 107 vacant posts of Professors, Assistant Professors and Associate Professors of JNTU Colleges at Kakinada and Vizianagaram.

Besides this, the Chief Minister also gave the nod for the creation of 653 teaching and non-teaching posts of 49 Polytechnics which was already sanctioned during the years 2008-09 and 2009-10. However, this decision of creation of 653 posts will be ratified at the next Cabinet meeting.

The next Cabinet meeting will be held shortly, according to an official communiqué.
