Responding to a question, Palvai said that a decision on replacement of the Chief Minister would be taken only after a solution on Telangana was found. Stating that there would be no use if a leader from the Telangana region was made Chief Minister, he felt that any Telangana leader, if installed as Chief Minister, would concentrate on how to protect his seat from the Seemandhra leaders. This was proved earlier in the State and chief ministers from Telangana did nothing to the region, he added.
Opining that the party’s condition was not good in the State, Palvai said that AICC chief Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi were watching the situation in the State and they would concentrate more on AP affairs to retrieve it from crisis only after the Presidential election.
Advising Telangana Congress MLAs not to act as psychopants of the Chief Minister with over-enthusiasm, he said that it was bad on the part of the Telangana ministers, MLAs for keeping silent on the Krishna water issue. Finding fault with Minister from Nalgonda district K Jana Reddy for speaking without knowing the facts on Sagar reservoir water, Palvai said that it would be impossible to supply the Sagar water to Hyderabad if the water level reached 510 feet.
