‘No Urdu, No Vote’ — TADJAC call against TRS, MIM

Telangana Auto Drivers JAC has appealed to all Urdu-loving people to adopt “No Urdu – No Vote” stand and ignore all such party candidates, who have deliberately ignored Urdu Language on their hoardings set up in connection with the GHMC elections.

JAC convener Mohd Amanullah Khan, in a statement here today, alleged that the ruling TRS and MIM parties have not given due respect and second language status to Urdu since the language was missing on their hoardings. He also complained that KCR’s hoardings set up at several public places and advertisements on bus stops focusing on achievements are only in Telugu and do not include Urdu language and thus, the Chief Minister’s “lip service” towards Urdu was being exposed.

“Similar is the case with the MIM party hoardings set up only in English as these also do not find a place for Urdu. Thus, these two parties claiming that they are champions of Urdu cause proved to be “transparent-play-acting” and “never-ending-blackmail” towards the language”, he added. (NSS)
