Hyderabad: In view of the General Elections to the Lok Sabha, the Election Commission has denied permission to celebrate “Ugadi” festival in CM’s Camp Office Pragathi Bhavan.
In a communiqué on Friday, the ECI informed the State Government that “Ugadi” festival may be organized anywhere other than at CM’s residential complex in consultation with the Chief Electoral Officer, Telangana. The ECI has reiterated that all the provisions of Model Code of Conduct are fully and strictly complied with at the site of the festival.
