Mumbai, July 25: Bipasha Basu has been trying to convince her boyfriend and actor John Abraham to join Twitter, but with no luck.
“I recently joined Twitter after much hesitation, and I must admit, I’m getting addicted,” she reveals. “I’ve tried convincing John to join it, but he’s adamant not to.” Basu says the website allows her to get closer to her fans and get critical feedback from her followers on her film roles.
“It brings me closer to my fans. They critique and praise my performances. And thanks to it, everyone’s a critic now.
I may put my next blog post on my page too.” The actress also mentioned how a recent incident cemented her love for the social networking site. “One of the critics of a leading newspaper had given Lamhaa a very bad review.
I was stunned when my fans started ripping his review apart on Twitter, insisting that he wasn’t being fair. Some people even mentioned that they had appreciated my performance for the first time after watching Lamhaa. It was very encouraging.”
Asked whether she was surprised by the cricketer’s hush-hush marriage and she jokes, “Since the media is constantly asking me when I’m going to walk down the aisle, maybe I should take tips from Mahi on how to get married in secret!”
