No threat of MLAs quitting Cong, says K K Reddy

Hyderabad, December 14: In a bid to keep the Congress flock together, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy today held a meeting with three party MLAs amidst reports that they might join rebel leader Y S Jaganmohan Reddy soon.

In a related development, Union Finance Minister and member of AICC special sub-committee on AP affairs Pranab Mukherjee spoke to Kiran Kumar over phone and was understood to have enquired about the developments in the party in the wake of reports that some MLAs were likely to join hands with Jagan.

The Chief Minister reportedly informed Pranab about his talks with the three MLAs who openly pledged their support to Jagan, and their response.

“Right now, there is no threat of their (MLAs) quitting the party,” Kiran reportedly sought to assure Mukherjee.
