No teacher appointment without TET: Congress

Tripura Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) President Sudip Roybarman has denounced to initiative of the state government to appoint primary school teachers without Teachers Eligibility Test (TET) and made it clear that his party would not compromise quality education. Addressing media here today, Mr Roybarman rued that the left front’s student and youth wings had launched agitation against Congress for revealing the plan of left front government to ensure under qualified party cadres in teachers job. ” I have informed union human resource minister Kapil Sibal while making the rule of The Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Act 2011 Tripura government ignored section 23(1) and 23(2) that dealt with eligibility of teachers, ” Mr Roybarman said adding the state government did not want to educate future generation. He also alleged no educated and honest individual or group was with left front and the party knew it better if the youths become educated and attain eligibility to appear various competitive exams, they never support CPI-M or left front and that was the reason left front did not want to ensure quality education at primary level.
