Hyderabad, February 05 (INN): Health Minster DL Ravindra Reddy on Saturday categorically stated that the State Government would not hold any talks with the junior doctors till they end their strike.
Talking to reporters after attending a private function in the city, the minister said that the junior doctors’ strike was immoral. He said the government does not propose to hold any discussion with the junior doctors, if they continue the strike.
The minister said that the government was in favour of continuing the implementation of GO Ms No 287 with regard to stipend. However, if they junior doctors could negotiate on another GO Ms No 132, he said.
Ravindra Reddy also slammed Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu for criticising the government on junior doctors’ issue. He said Naidu refused to increase the stipend by even one paisa when he was the Chief Minister. However, now he is accusing the State Government of being non-responsive to the demands of striking junior doctors, he said.
He also ridiculed the statement of YSR Congress party president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on the issue. He said Jagan was not even aware of the basic demands and the government’s response on the issue. (INN)
