A US helicopter that crashed into a mountainside in Nepal has no survivors left among the eight on board after it was found completely destroyed.
The Nepal’s top defence officials announced that the wreckage of the UH-1Y Huey helicopter that recently disappeared while delivering aid near the Chinese border in Nepal was found 56km from Kathmandu on May 15, the BBC reported.
The officials further informed that no survivors left among the 8 boarders including 6 Marines and 2 Nepali soldiers as in total 3 bodies have been recovered so far.
Lieutenant General John Wissler, head of the US task force in Nepal, said it was “unlikely” that any survivors would be found at the site, which was in dense forest near the village of Charikot at an elevation of 3,352m. (ANI)
