Chairman Andhra Pradesh State Hajj Committee, Mr. Syed Khaleeluddin Ahmed in a statement told that most of the people who have not been selected through lot for Hajj 2012 or whose name didn’t come under waiting list, want to get seat under special quota by contacting various bigwigs. But it must be noted that this year the Supreme Court has scrapped special quota. As per the judgment there will not be any special quota for Hajj aspirants.
This year no special quota has been allotted to cheif minister, state ministers, MPs and chairman and members of Hajj committee, hence selection on all seats has been done through drawing of lots in a very transparent manner.
