No scope for graft in HMDA now; KTR launches DPMS to keep brokers at bay

Minister for IT and Municipal Administration & Urban Development K Taraka Ramarao here on Wednesday launched Development Permission System (DPMS), a software developed by Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority for building approvals, change of land use and layout permissions through online applications only. He also inaugurated the IVR Grievances Redressal System which plays a key role in solving the people’s problems in the city.

Speaking on the occasion, Tarakarama Rao said they would totally eradicate the greedy middlemen’s role and improve transparency. He also said the government would take all possible measures to rid all departments of corruption by introducing online system. Stating that DPMS and IVR Grievances Redressal System were introduced as part of 100-day program in the HMDA, KTR said there would be no scope for corruption and irregularities in the government departments and if the applicants felt injustice was done to them in the HMDA, they will be free to make an appeal and they would get adequate reply in 30 days.

Stating that obtaining permission from the HMDA for building constructions was very difficult during the previous regime, KTR said obtaining permissions for layouts and building construction was made easy now. “We are going to the doorsteps of the people by introducing the online system and the same would be extended to GHMC and other corporations by next month and funds to the gram panchayats would be made through online system”, he added. .
