Hyderabad, September 21 (Siasat News): P V Narsimha Rao elevated express leading to Rajiv Gandhi International Airport Shamshabad from Sarojini Devi eye hospital Mehdipatnam which is said to be the longest express way of the country, lacks security or surveillance facility to monitor traffic on the flyover. On the flyover of nearly 11.6 kilometers, only one guard is on duty.
According to a survey conducted by some students a few months ago, there is traffic flow of 15345 motor vehicles per day on the express highway.
The guard on duty at the entrance of express higway can only control two or three vehicles, if more vehicles come at the same time it is impossible for him to control. Recently United Metro Politan Transport authority (UMTA) reviewed the situation in a sub committee meeting and suggested to recommend for surveillance cameras to monitor the traffic.
