No room for criminals in TS, Kavitha slams Oppn for politicizing Nayeem case

Accusing the Opposition parties of politicizing the gangster Nayeem’s encounter death, Nizamabad MP K Kavitha today asked the former to abstain from mudslinging on the government for mileage.

Speaking to the media here on Friday, Kavitha hinted at the closing the chapters of criminals and anti-social elements causing blot on the government and its administration. The government wants to develop “Swatch Telangana” sans criminals, she maintained. The MP said the time is ripe to stop the games of anti-social elements and criminals in the State.

Her remarks assume importance as the Opposition was attributing the encounter to the handiwork of the government. She curtly denied the comments that the encounter was deliberately conducted by the government as Nayeem threatened a few TRS legislators. Inquiry will reveal the involvement of ministers and any others in the case, she said.

Referring to delimitation of districts, the MP claimed that the process was on. The Cabinet Sub-Committee today met with Nizamabad Minister Pocharam Srinivas Reddy and other leaders and took their opinion and suggestions on increasing the number of districts to 24 from the existing 10. More number of districts will ease the administration process to reach out to the people with various welfare schemes in an expeditious manner, she maintained. (NSS)
