Following the publication of report ‘Dargah’s existence in peril’ in Siasat daily on August 2, the authorities of Sri Malia Pakshi Mutt Mahankali Five Temples arrived at Siasat office and made clarification that there is no threat to dargah but they themselves are protecting it with much respect and reverence. Mutt authorities further revealed that some relics have been brought from a dargah located at Makhanpur near Kanpur and kept in the temple since decades and they are very much revered.
The authorities told that the dargah exists since their forefather’s period and no controversy emerged so far. They revealed that temple area comprises of 764.7 sqyd land which has been registered in endowment department on July 29, 1988. They have to say that the said land was registered in 1967 under section 43. They also produced documentary evidence in connection with that.
