(Siasat district News): Mr. Zaheeruddin Ali Khan, Managing Editor Siasat, said that Muslims could safeguard their rights unitedly.
He was speaking in a function arranged by Minority Reservation United Front at Mahboobnagar’s Royal Function hall as the chief guest. He said that the reservation quota of 4.5% was nullified by the court that sent the shock waves among the Muslim community.
However, there is still a ray of hope as the central government has indicated to challenge the ruling of the High court in Supreme Court. It is high time that Muslims all over India should struggle to get the 4.5% quota for the community. Mr. Khan said that Mr. Salman Khurshid has taken the decision of 4.5% quota hastily.
On the contrary, when Mr. Khurshid was not a minister, he had said that Muslims couldn’t be given reservation on the basis of religion. As soon as he got the portfolio of Minority welfare, to appease the Muslims, he delivered the ruling of 4.5% reservations fro Muslims.
Mr. Zaheeruddin further said that in the district of Kerammud, Siasat has opened a center where the guidance is provided to Muslims on every welfare scheme started by the government. According to the teachings of Islam, one should fight and struggle till the right is gained.
He said that the central government had allocated a sum of Rs. 1,00,000,00 for the scholarship but the benefit is not gained to its fullest by the community.
He was of the opinion that Muslims should not lavishly spend the money during the marriage in their families. He regretted that some high-class people of the city are spending even Rs.1 Crore in a single marriage ceremony.
Muslims should recognize their importance and use their votes after giving it a second thought. Without naming Jaganmohan Reddy, Mr. Zaheeruddin Ali Khan said that in 2004, he had Rs. 36 lakhs as his assets and now, he possesses an asset of Rs. 365 crores.
How come he earned this whopping sum in a short period of five years? He appealed to the youths that they should write post cards to the Prime Minister saying that no reservations to Muslims, then no vote.
