Hyderabad: Govt. of Telangana informed Hyderabad High Court that it intends to amend Registration Act of 1908. In this way, no illegal buildings and plots would be registered. Govt. also told the High Court that Govt. of Tamil Nadu has already amended this Act. Govt. of Telangana would also amend Registration Act of 1908 after reviewing the amendments incorporated by Govt. of Tamil Nadu.
Govt. also informed the court that GHMC identified 865 illegal constructions out of which 340 buildings have already been demolished by adopting legal means. 31 criminal cases have also been registered against the persons who constructed buildings illegally.
