Bangalore, April 27: Tainted godman Nityananda has no health problem, Doctors of Jayadeva Institute of Cardiology attending on him told UNI.
The self-styled swami was admitted to the Hospital last night as he complained of severe chest pain while being taken back after producing in a court at Ramanagaram, 60 km from here.
The Court has extended Nityananda’s remand for two more days following an appeal from the CoD police to further question him in connection with cases filed against him, including rape and criminal charges.
”All tests were normal. However, he has been kept in ICU for observation,” the Doctors added. Nityananda’s admission to Hospital has forced relatives of patients to spend the night outside as police cordoned the entire Hospital as part of security.
Mr Mohamed Sab whose daughter is undergoing treatment in the hospital told UNI that last evening all public other than patients were asked to vacate. ”We had no other go but to sleep on the floor. My daughter is undergoing treatment for heart problem and I slept in the floor throughout the night to help in case of need. Like me there are many people who spent night outside the hospital,” he said.
Heavy police bandobust was made around the hospital and entry of public were denied.
