Telangana government has begun identifying centres for conducting the Engineering Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test (EAMCET). T. Papi Reddy, Chairman of Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE) said that no private college premises will be sought for the exam. This shows the tough stand taken by the government.
Papi Reddy said as per Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao’s assurance we are making efforts to conduct the exam before May 15. Of the 220 centres needed for EAMCET, more than 75 are Government institutions. For the remaining centres government is identifying aided colleges, Central Government institutions, universities and other alternative avenues.
Prof. Reddy urged the students to continue their preparations without bothering about the administrative aspects of the exam.
Meanwhile EAMCET-2016 Convenor N.V. Ramana Rao said that even though the EAMCET has been delayed, the result would be expedited to ensure that students are not affected due to the change in date.
