No power cuts in T: Vinod

TRS MP B Vinod Kumar today said there will be no power cuts in the Telangana State now as the government has taken adequate steps to prevent the crisis.

Inaugurating the government’s flagship program “Mission Kakatiya” at his native Enugallu village in Warangal district, Vinod Kumar said he was indebted to his village for giving inspiration for Telangana movement. He said he would make untiring steps to develop the district on all fronts. The MP also accused the previous Congress government of deliberately ignoring Telangana region in the matter of development. Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has been taking steps to ensure uninterrupted power supply to farm, domestic and industrial sectors in the State. He said Telangana State will be power surplus State in two years.

“For one year, we faced the problem of power cuts and now there is no such difficulty as the government has spent money to overcome the crisis”, Vinod claimed. As soon as TRS came to power, it took right steps to tide over power crisis in the State. The TRS government was keeping its promise of providing nine-hour power supply during day to the farm lands, he said.
Referring to lakes restoration program, Vinod said the people and farmers should involve themselves in the program to strengthen their farms. The soil being removed from the lakes will help the farmers to get better yield, he hoped. The State government has taken up the lakes restoration program to enable the agriculture community to get timely waters, he added. (NSS)
