Lecturers working in Govt. Junior Colleges have not been receiving their salaries for the past 5 months. It has become impossible for them to meet their daily expenses. For the past five months Govt. is extracting work by appointing contract lecturers. Due to vacant posts of lecturers and lack of infrastructure, teaching got affected very badly. This is the reason that many parents avoid admitting their children into Govt. Junior Colleges. Thee was a time in the past when there used to be competition for getting a seat in any Govt. College.
Contract lecturers were appointed in the month of June but their salaries have not yet been paid Mr. Mirza Abdur Rahim Baig, Vice President of, TRS, Hussaini Alam Branch has already sent a memorandum to the Chief Minister of AP, Dy. CM and the relevant officers of the Education Dept. demanding payment of salaries. If these lecturers stop teaching, poor students would suffer.
