Hyderabad, July 20:The Energy and Radiation Research Foundation president, Dr K V Ranga Rao, has stated that the people of the country need not worry about the July 22 eclipse as it is a natural phenomenon in the solar system.
In a pressnote, Dr Ranga Rao stated that a bath before and after the eclipse is not compulsory as there will be no harm to the human body. However, the pregnant women can move freely but should not see the eclipse directly. There may be some psychological effect by seeing the sun who is seen always full and eyes may be damaged if they see the sun directly, he added.
When solar eclipse starts, negative radiation which is harmful to living beings is radiated and experienced on the earth where the eclipse is visible. If the eclipse is not visible, no harmful effect is felt by any living being. As the occultation progresses, the negative energy slowly increases and peaks to negative 2,00,000 units (one unit produces one microvolt in human body). The energy level suddenly jumps to 2,50,000 units negative and immediately drops to two lakh units negative and slowly the negative energy reduces and finally at the end of the eclipse, it goes back to its original level before the eclipse started.
He stated that our DNA has the capacity to recover from short duration exposures even at high levels. DNA can repair itself if the negative energy does not exceed a limit and also for short durations. It is like visiting a cemetery or a house where death occurred. Since the negative energy is not retained by the body, one may not take bath, before or after the eclipse. Before it is not at all necessary. However, having a bath after the eclipse has become a tradition in our society, he added. (NSS)
