No need for President’s rule in Andhra, says Srinivas

Hyderabad, January 08: The Rosaiah government is functioning well and there is no need for imposing President’s rule in Andhra Pradesh, state Congress president D Srinivas said here today.

“There is no need to worry. Rosaiah is functioning satisfactorily. Everything will be alright. Delhi is serious about the crucial (Telangana) issue. They will look after that. Rosaiah will look after the situation here,” he said, while responding to a query whether the present situation would lead to imposition of President’s rule in the state.

Srinivas appealed to the people of the state and Congressmen, in particular, to work for restoring normalcy in the state to help the Centre find an amicable solution to the crisis.

“I met madam (Sonia Gandhi) yesterday. She was keen that normalcy returned to the state. The Centre and AICC wants normalcy to be restored at the earliest,” Srinivas said.
