No need for panic on Sri Krishna Report: Maken

Visakhapatnam, December 23: Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Ajay Maken today said there was no need for any panic as the government had taken all precautions to meet any contingency on the law and order situation in the context of the Sri Krishna Committee Report on Separate Telangana being submitted to the Centre on December 31 Speaking to UNI, he exuded confidence that the situation would be normal in the state.

Turning to other issues, he lamented the absence of Hindi Departments in as many as 15 universities in the South India.

Mr Maken said the forthcoming Central Hindi Committee Meeting would mull on the introduction of the Hindi Departments in these universities.

He stressed on the important role the local universities could play in propagating the national language.
